2007 GREEN TRAILS ENTRY - BENCHES OF LISLE II
As part of the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored “Benches of
Lisle II” event, the Green Trails Improvement Association has
sponsored one bench, which is now on display on the south side of the
corner of Main St. and Burlington, downtown Lisle. The Association
wishes to thank our artist, Deidre Hart, for a beautiful and creative
art project, which is titled “Daisies Don’t Tell. Mrs. Hart resides
in Lombard and is an artist (“Art by Hart”). You can see more of Mrs.
Hart’s work at the Lisle French Market, where she painted a mural on a
wooden screen. The mural is a park scene in which the fountain in the
Children’s Garden at the Morton Arboretum is featured. The sharing of
her time and wonderful talent is very much appreciated.
All of the benches will be auctioned off during Lisle Depot Days on
September 15, 2007. According to the buyer’s wishes, the proceeds
will go to any or all non-profit 501c3 charities that are members of
the Lisle Chamber. Over the summer, please take some time to enjoy
all the benches on display in downtown Lisle, especially the one
sponsored by Green Trails. Just look for the giant daisy. You will
also be able to view our bench at the web site:
greentrails.org.
If you have any questions about the Benches of Lisle II, contact
management at 961-7456 or the Chamber of Commerce at 964-0052.
