of the Green Trails Improvement Association
Board of Directors Meeting
Tuesday January 09, 2007
President, Peter Bakas called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM at
Kennedy Jr High School. Board members present: Peter Bakas, John
Charicki, Pat Coughlin-Schillo, Rodd Elges, Rob Getz, Linda Gilbert,
Marg Hough, Gerry Jackson, Julie LaFond, Les Lavin, Betty Long, Tom
Maslanka, Gail Robinson. Board members excused: Joan Dudas, Terri
Kolman. Management: Joe and Joanne Broda. Paula Gleason was Recording
Secretary. A quorum was present.
Open
Forum
A resident from Heritage Farms 4 was in attendance as an
interested observer.
Minutes
of the Prior Meeting:
Minutes of the prior meeting were reviewed.
Board Motion: Marg Hough moved to approve the minutes of the December
meeting, Gerry Jackson seconded. The motion was passed by unanimous
voice vote.
Treasurer's
Report
John Charicki reviewed the December Balance Sheet and Income and
Expense Statement.
Board Motion: Gerry Jackson motioned to accept the revised check
register expenditures of $7,392.84 for January, Julie LaFond seconded.
The motion was passed by unanimous voice vote.
Management Report
Telephone log line items were reviewed.
Management noted that two more units were sold in the College Green
apartment-condo conversion.
Management stated that $217,717 in 2007 assessments have been
collected to date.
Management submitted copies of a revised roster and committee sheet to
be included in Directors’ binders.
Management provided a list of December 2006 newcomers. Board Directors
are encouraged to call on newcomers in their respective areas.
Finance Committee
Committee recommends management invest $150,000 in a six-month CD at
Lisle Savings Bank bearing 5.10% interest; Board members agreed.
Maintenance Committee
Les Lavin reported the Maintenance Committee will meet within the next
few weeks.
Communications
Committee
Marg Hough noted revisions to Pathfinder deadlines: ads will be due by
the 10th of the month,
articles will be due by the 12th of the month and copy of the
Pathfinder to proof, prior to going to the printer, will be due to
Marg Hough by the 18th.
Parks
Committee
Gerry Jackson gave a synopsis of the December Lisle Park District
Board meeting; Pat Coughlin-Schillo will attend the January 18th
meeting. Betty Long passed around a list to the Parks Committee
members requesting volunteers to attend upcoming Lisle Park District
Board meetings. Betty requested Directors submit to her any questions
to be posed for the Lisle Park District candidate forum at the GTIA
Board meeting in April.
Nominating Committee
No report.
Old Business - New Business
Peter Bakas, Joe Broda and Les Lavin volunteered to take down
remaining GTIA holiday lights.

Executive Session
Board
Motion: Marg Hough motioned to adjourn to Executive session, Tom
Maslanka seconded. The motion was passed by unanimous voice vote at
8:05 p.m.
Board
Motion: Betty Long motioned to adjourn the Executive session, Linda
Gilbert seconded. The motion was passed by unanimous voice vote at
8:15 p.m.

Motion: There being no further business, Betty Long motioned to
adjourn the meeting, Rob Getz seconded. The motion was passed by a
unanimous voice vote; the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
