Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee will assist the GTIA Board by studying specific issues, identifying options, and drawing up recommendations for board action. The committee’s only authority is that which is assigned to it by the board. A priority for the Nominating Committee is to recruit new board members.
Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and recommend strategies to recruit board members and non-board committee members

Identify and recommend appropriate outreach efforts for welcoming new GT Residents

Create and recommend procedure for welcoming new GTIA Board Members

Collaborate and cooperate with the GTIA Communication Committee in all efforts to utilize the Association newsletter and website in performing the duties and responsibilities of the Nominating Committee.

Perform other related duties as assigned and or requested by the Board of Directors

Reporting Procedures/Schedule

May/June: Recommend procedures for fall elections to board of directors
June/July: Coordinate w/Communications Committee on an article for publication in the August Newsletter and on the Website detailing board nomination procedures
August: Prepare for September newsletter follow-up article on board nomination
December: Welcome new board members
