MOTORIZED VEHICLES PROHIBITED ON PATHS

A reminder to all residents: Using motorized vehicles, other than Power Mobility Devices (PMD) such as wheelchairs, is strictly prohibited on the Green Trails Improvement Association (GTIA) paths or within the common areas. The paths and common areas deeded to GTIA are privately owned and maintained by the Association and are subject to its rules and regulations. GTIA rules may differ from those of the Village of Lisle or the Lisle Park District regarding what is permitted on their properties.

Prohibited motorized vehicles include, but are not limited to, electric bicycles (e-bikes), electric scooters, electric skateboards, All-terrain vehicles (ATVs), off-highway motorcycles or dirt bikes, Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs or side-by-side vehicles), snowmobiles, and four-wheel-drive vehicles. Violations are addressed in the Village of Lisle ordinance, and any infractions may be referred to the police for further action if necessary.

Additionally, it’s courteous to call out ‘on your left’ when passing others on your bike. Let’s remember safety and etiquette when using the trails for all to enjoy.
